CLINT SWANSON

Clint has 15 years of experience representing individuals, businesses, charities, and trusts in a wide array of legal matters. With a Master of Laws in Taxation, he specializes in tax minimization strategies for individuals and businesses. His practice at Swanson Law Firm, PLLC, focuses on wealth succession planning, probate and administration of estates, advising closely-held entities, charitable planning, oil and gas management, trust administration, and asset protection planning. He has represented multiple entities in transactions with private equity firms and hedge funds. He advises farming, ranching, and other agribusiness clients.

Clint earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from The University of Florida Levin College of Law (2004), his J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law (2003), and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University (1997).

Clint is admitted to practice in Oklahoma, the District of Columbia and South Dakota.

He is a member of the American, District of Columbia, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Tulsa County Bar Associations. He is also a member of Tulsa Tax Club, Tulsa Title and Probate Attorneys, and Tulsa Estate Planning Forum.

Clint is an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law where he teaches Taxation of Estates, Gifts, and Generation Skipping Transfers.

He is co-chair of the Oklahoma Bar Association – Estate Planning Section, Legislative Committee. He co-authored the Decanting, Change of Situs, and Choice of Law Statutes which were approved by the Oklahoma Bar Association. He speaks multiple times per year for the Oklahoma and Tulsa County Bar Associations on estate, business, and charitable planning.

He serves on the Executive Board of Family and Children’s Service, Inc. and serves as a Trustee of the Family and Children’s Services Endowment Trust.

Clint grew up on a farm and ranch in southwest Oklahoma. He is married and has three children.
